Mary Portas



Mary Portas' ideal town of the future.

I was just starting to research retail desire, and immediately decided to take a look at the only retail designer I currently know: Mary Portas. She appears to be a highly engaging, practical, but uncorrupt woman. Her review of Prada in London was as honest as a student's- she doesn't try and dress things up with a deep, unforseeable message or lots of complicated vocabulary. To her, an interior space should wow you; exactly my opinion. I was also extremely taken by 'The Portas Review', and her list of 28 recommendations. All of what she says is so true, and by simply bringing lots of different areas of people's lives back into the centre of town, I believe that what she aims to create is perfectly achievable.
